    tampons don't work for me?

I am 21 and have just recently started using tampons. I am fairly certain I am inserting them correctly and using the correct absorbencies. However, I still need to wear pads because the tampons are not "catching" all the blood. It's really becoming a frustrating hassle, especially with the money I'm spending buying both products. What could be going on here, and how can I fix it?

well maybe tampons just aren't the right thing for you. don't dispare though because there is a product i was very happy with when i tried it. it is called instead. it is a soft cup like thing that you insert into your vagina like inserting a diaphram. it really worked well for me. give it a try who knows it might work out for you. just wondering how often are you changing the tampon? well good luck!!!! i'm pretty sure you can purchase insteads at a walmart or most drug stores.

I always have to wear a liner with a tampon, just in case, and I use Super. I don't like them anymore, personally. All through my twenties and early thirties I used them, but I felt as though they interrupted my flow and screwed up the length of my period. Maybe it sounds paranoid but the idea of something sitting inside me for days at a time (of course changing them frequently!!) just started to sound... not kosher to me. Now I only use them if I'm in a bathing suit, on vacation somewhere warm or going for a night out or something. Otherwise, I just use pads.

I know that wasn't what you asked, sorry. But I knew two girls who both had to use two tampons at a time. I guess it can be done, but I never asked how. They both had heavy flows. Maybe you can try that.
