I'm normally regular but starting to become irregular. Cycles are longer than 28 days now. Periods are much lighter in flow. They are also light brown. This is only the last 2.

However I'm curious about my last one.

It was on June 8 and it was already 1 week late. I keep track on an app btw and it has been right all the time except recently. Well I felt a "leak" and went to check. Noticed a dime-size maybe smaller of red blood. This was about 4pm. I put in a tampon. Around 9pm I checked and tampon had light brown on it but hardly any. I was with my bf and really wanted sex so put down a towel just in case. We had sex and I didn't even bleed. I took the risk and slept with no tampon. Woke up, nothing. But on the 10th ONLY ONCE did I wipe and had the light-brown blood if it's even blood? It was similar to what was on my tampon. Honestly it look more like discharge but with light-brown.

I understand brown just means old blood.

So

Was this just a really short period or just spotting? I mean can you have a period only last hours or not likely?

If anyone says go to the doctor, I am later this week. Thanks.

Have you taken a pregnancy test? Sometimes spottinng happens during pregnancy and if it's very light and brown it just sounds like old blood and no new. I would take a pregnancy test and see if you are pregnant!

I have not yet but like I said I'm seeing a doctor,which is my obgyn this week, actually Thursday because normally I'm regular and the period in May came 2 weeks late but it was the average length just very light in flow and light-brown as well.

I was going to back in May until that happened and I figured maybe for some reason it was just abnormal. My partner was even going to want me to take one but when that happened he agreed to just wait until the next time to see if things went back to normal.

I do still want to test but people I know just tell me to just wait until the obgyn visit since they can do tests too and are usually more accurate anyways.

Well yes just wait till the test by your obgyn Chilka, You only have 2 more days to wait. Save your money and buy something else then waste the money on pregnancy test. That you will find out that day by your doctor.
