UTI or something else?
Honestly, I do feel a little embarrassed about asking about these things but I have no one else to ask (Conservative family means no talking about sex). So my SO just moved here after two years of a long distance relationship. We have had sex before now which resulted in me going to the doctor because of a UTI. Now the past few months we have been in the honeymoon phase where we do have sex on a regular basis, and it's pretty rough. I usually feel sore after but never think about it and I always pee after. I thought I had a UTI a couple months ago but the doctor told me there was no sign. I still was given antibiotics and was better. Today I have the same exact pain. We had very rough sex the past two days and I am not sure if that could be the cause or if it could be a UTI. My doctor won't see me because of course the day the symptoms start, I start my period! I have to wait until my period goes away to be able to see a doctor (which could be up to a week with how my periods are). Is there any way I can prevent this or if it could be something else? I do what I can after sex, I drink fluids, clean regularly, and urinate after. Please help me, I'm getting tired of antibiotics every couple of months

Urinary Tract Infections (UTI's) can indeed be caused by a) an increase in the frequency of sex, b) intensity of the act and c) introduction of bacteria d) in addition you can damage the urethra causing a chronic condition. Does your SO use condoms, if so you also could be exhibiting an allergic reaction to the type of condom he is using.
The only true way is to see your doctor. That which we forget may as well never really happened.
