On February 13 I have to have my first ever Laparoscopy. I also have to have a physical and and some other test done. Does any one what what kind of physical and test they will do. I've had surgery before the only thing that I had to do was blood work only not a physical. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jill

Hi my name is Jill,
On February 13 I have to have my first ever Laparoscopy. I also have to have a physical and and some other test done. Does any one what what kind of physical and test they will do. I've had surgery before the only thing that I had to do was blood work only not a physical. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jill -
I just had my 6yh lap and have never had to go through a physical. They do take blood work and urine to check for pregnancy and what ever else. They may want to see you your stomach walls are, such as muscle tone or fat ratio. Not really sure. Are you familiar with the surgery. It's not so bad... for surgery. They blow up your abdominal cavity and insert a camera through your navel. They then use a laser to remove any endometiral tissue they can find. Make sure your doctor is putting you on some kind of hormone therapy after. I take the pill and don't take the placebo to avoid menstration. This has helped signfigantly.... despite the fact that I am now recovering from surgery #6. Good luck honey! -
laparoscopy surgery
Dear Sweetie27,
Thanks you for the info it was very helpful to me. Another question did you have to drink stuff to clean out your bowels my OBGYN wants me to drink this stuff to clean out my bowels I think the reason the my doctor wants me to have a physical because I have not had one in a long time. The only that I have is a well women's exam with my OBGYN or my internal medicine doctor every year. This is my first Laparoscopy that I will be having done Thanks Allot Sweetie27. I go next months on February 13. Do you check this site often because I would like to like to let you know how I made out from my Laparoscopy surgery.
Thanks JillComment
