Hi. I just wondered if anyone had ever experienced something like this. I had a very healthy sex life with my partner for 2 years. No issues at all. Until I came down with kidney sepsis and had to be on antibiotics for 7 weeks. As soon as we tried again It was very painful, like something was tearing and I bleed after. Doctor has taken swabs and examined me and says there is nothing physically wrong and advised psychosexual counselling. I am dubious tho. I still think there is something physical going on somewhere as we had no issues before the prolongued antibiotics.

I do however think that I am tensing up in anticipation of the pain too.

I have bought a book on Vaginismus as a first step.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you think prolong antibiotics might be the cause, you should try a probiotic to restore the natural flora in your system.

Eating plain cultured yogurt will work but a probiotic supplement like PB 8 is faster.

Thanks!! Where would I get PB 8 from. Would something like Yakult or Actimel work too do you think? Xx
