I just had my daughter almost 10 months ago. She was delivered by an emergency c-section. Now my period has been coming for about 4 months now. I have three other children all by natural delivery. My issue is I am having a semi-clear watery discharge after my period ends. This is lasting for about a week in itself! I have never had this before and didn't know if it was something to do with the scarring of my uterus or what. ANY ideas? It is not itchy or burning just annoying as it feels like I am always leaking.

Hmmm... it's hard to say for sure, but it sounds like it could possibly be normal discharge. You say it's semi-clear... does it have any color to it? How about an odor? Most women will experience changes in vaginal secretion as they go through their cycles. It can vary from clear and watery, to slightly thicker and whiter and even a slight yellow hue. The important thing is to make sure it does not have a foul odor as that is always an indicator of infection. Or if you experience abnormal pain, irritation, or itching. When in doubt, see your gynecologist! -

It has a slight yellow color and it does have a slight odor also but not an offensive odor...just different than the norm.Comment

Well, it is quite possible that you are having normal discharge. If the discharge begins to smell kind of "fishy" then you have Bacterial Vaginosis which is easilly cured by getting a one time pill from your doctor. If you are worried about it, then the only thing left to do is to go to the gynecologist.Comment

I am experiencing this also, for the last two days, 9 weeks after a c-section. I have not had a period yet since having our baby, but I'm just wondering if you ever saw a doctor concerning this, or if it worked itself out?
mine is also yellowish in color, not itchy or burning, and no real foul odor. it also seems to pass in larger quantities than what i would consider normal for myself.

Post-cycle discharge
I have that same kind of discharge. I must have something to do with hormones. I asked my doctor about it after I went in for a annual. They act like it is so normal...and didn't suggest anything that could make it go away or lessen or something. I can't stand the smell of it. It has been coming after my cycle for the past year I think and stays from 3 days to a week.
Once I tried washing it away whenever I went to the bathroom, but that only dried me out. Is there a diet change I can do or some vitamens or something that I can use. Maybe an increase in my water intake? Help! I wonder if having fibroids could have a bearing on it. I know my moods and anxiousness are out of this world which I am sure I can contribute to hormones. Maybe I'm getting close to go thru early menopause.Comment
