Confused and scared...
For a few years now I have had this discharge that is thicker and a light yellowish color, and i had a lot of it. I was really worried that it didn't go away when i tried the over the counter yeast infection treatments so I went to planned parenthood to get checked out. The doctor there told me that she thought that I had chlamydia and possibly hpv...which kinda blew me away (i am not a virgin, but it was still shocking). So after freaking out for a couple of weeks waiting for my results, I found out that my tests came back clear of any stds. My main problem now is that i still have the discharge and now i am paranoid that its something much bigger. I did, however, start taking primadophilus reuteri pills and they have reduced the amount of discharge that i have been having, which is a relief, but i am still scared to go to the doctor in a couple of months for my yearly exam....i am very afraid of going since the last time, and wondering if any ladies have the same problem as me and maybe some answers as to what the problem is??? I would appreciate any answers you give me. -
If you're not itching, and it doesn't smell badly, couldn't it just be that this is your body's discharge? We're all very different. And try to notice, starting with your next period, whether or not it changes during your cycle. Sometimes it can be clearish and stringy and mucus-y, like when you're ovulating, and then sometimes there will be less discharge, and sometimes more, like just before you get your period.
You could also go back to the same doc at PP and explain that even though you're clean for STDs you still want to know what they think of the discharge - they should just be able to put it under a scope or send it to the lab and have it looked at.Comment
