Hi everyone,
I have prescription about Provera (it is synthetic progesteron) because of my irregular period.
I took1st pill at Jan 4 and last at Jan 8.
My period came at Jan 8 and end Jan 14
Now I have to start the pills again (that are the directions from the gyno) and... I'm a but upset becouse I dont know do I take the pills the right time...
The directions say "Take one tablet everyday for 5 days every 3 weeks"
So, my question is...should I wait 3 week (without taking anything) and then start Provera for 5 days ...or I have to include this 5 days in the 3 weeks period?

I just cant find the phone of the doctor so I can call him now.

I hate to say this but I think you're going to have to call the doc or pharmacist for clarification.

I was on provera last year and that is not the way I took it. So, I guess there is no standard way to take it, it's up to your doc. If you can't find the doc's number, try the pharmacist.

I called teh pharmacist and she said I have to wait 3 weeks. So I'm taking is the right way...but I was still a bit upset.
Logically period is 28 days, so 3 weeks (21 days) + 5 days provera are near to normal period. May be I'm getting a bit paranoic.

Don't worry about it.... just do what the pharmacist said to do. The Provera is just shedding the lining of the cervix at a deeper level than your period does. You'll be fine.... good luck to you.
