Hello. I'm 17 years old and I think I might have an infection or yeast infection but i'm not sure.
For a while my vagina area has been itching randomly every day through out the day and some times it would get irritated. It itches inside, not around it and I think it might be swollen because the inside sticks out more then normally. It itches at night sometimes to, but not any more than it does in the day time. It's not all the time though, just randomly.
I also have this white stuff come out sometimes, I don't think it's everyday but it does almost everyday, but only a little. It does not burn though, but before it was kinda sore. Not so much anymore though, but still sometimes is.
What could be wrong with me? I'm scared I might have a disease or something, but I CANT go to the doctor right now, so I'm asking here. Is it just a yeast infection or what? What can I do to make it get better and keep it from getting like this again? My insides aren't falling out are they?!

No honey, your insides are not falling out...id say you are spot on with yeast infection.

Unfortunately, you should go to the doctor to get a correct diagnosis...just in case it isnt thrush. You can however buy thrush treatments at chemists. The best ones are were you can get a pill to treat to external itch and a pessary (you place in the vagina like a tampon) to treat the internal itch.

In the meantime, avoid nylon undies..choose cotton for comfort. Some people recommend using yoghurt (not like a strawberry one ) a natural plain type one will help cool the itchiness.

It prob. is a yeast infection and you can get otc meds for that. Miffed23 gave some really good advice as far as other measures to take. Take care!
