    Bloody discharge

I am new here so let me start off by saying hello. Hope everyone is well
I'm worried and decided I need to see a doctor. Since it's Sunday I can't call until tomorrow so I'm posting here in hopes of getting some piece of mind.
I am 39 years old, my periods have been so regular it was wonderful. I knew exactly when it would come and how long it would last, never too heavy no cramps. This time something is off. I did have unprotected sex with my long time boyfriend (15 years) 4 days before my period started. We have been thinking about 1 more child. My period came like it was supposed to, stopped like it was supposed to. 4 days later I noticed some brown blood. It was quite a bit but never in my underwear. Just when I use the bathroom. It is sometimes red but mostly brown. This has been going on and off for 9 days. I had some slight cramping yesterday. I thought about cervical cancer, my last pap was a year ago in Sept and it was normal. Or could I maybe be going through the early stages of menopause? Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Well with menopause you be having hot flash as well Momo. I believe your body is changing the older you get so maybe making a with your obgyn and discuss your issue with them. But if your paps where clear a year ago I wouldn't think to worry about a tumor. But do make that appointment and get check out Momo so your mind is put rest with this issue. But I want to welcome you too WH as well you will chat with some great people on this site enjoy and good day.
When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.

There are so many more common reasons for brown blood than cancer on a person who has had pap smears regularly. Sometimes random things effect the body. Emotional changes can even alter periods. 9 days is a little long though so you might want to discuss it with a doctor.

I have an appointment with my OBGyn Tuesday. Today my bleeding increased to like a normal period and I had to break out the pads. It feels just like my period. I should also mention I have stage 3 kidney disease and started having some kidney pains. So I'm hoping this is just something hormonal. I will keep in touch. Thank you so much for your replies. I'm very scared.
