    16 days since Hysterecomy

I've always thought that you'd only go into menopause if they take out your ovaries. My ovaries doc decided to keep. Took everything else out. After the stronger medications starts to wear off? I am slowly feeling confused and lost. I feel like theres something missing. At first I thought for sure " health " before anything. I told the doctor she can do whatever she needed to to do as long as I stop feeling sick. After the surgery she told me it was a success. That huge lump in my uterus mutated into 3 chunks that's conjoined. At this moment I am wondering all over the place. I still feel sick from the medication I had endured and the ones I'm still taking. Is there anyoneo n here that has gotten a hysterectomy? I could use some heart to heart moment. I don't feel right. 31 never had kids or am I in a relationship that could concern kids.

Nurses in the hospital kept ganging up asking that same question : " sweetie, your so young why would you do this to yourself"? That got on my nerves the most. I told the first one that had asked that " I seem to only catch dead fishes ". Whats the point of keeping the bait?

Hey there. Are you feeling any better? I apologize for not knowing your history and I'm sure it's longer than what you feel like typing, but could you give me a summary as to what lead you to a hysterectomy at 31? I am 32 myself, no kids, not married, so I can relate in that aspect. Was it the lump in your uterus? It looks like they could have just removed the lump. I have a friend who just got one removed. The said it was the size of an 18 week old fetus, so about 6-7 inches wide.

So sorry you've been so ill. I would think it would take your body a while to adjust to a surgery that intense and also one that affects your hormone levels. Give yourself time.

I'm wondering if it is a case of phantom pain (look it up in Wikipedia).

Best wishes on getting better soon.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
