    Is this "normal"?

Okay, so at first I thought my periods were irregular (which they sort of are) but, I just looked back on my records, and my cycles for the past 4-5 months (Since Nov. 07) were 46-48 days apart! I calculated my next period to be between May 7th-15th. Right now, if I were "regular" I would have gotten my period last Friday (25th) at 28 days from my last period (March 27th). I don't feel any "real" symptoms of getting my period. But my smaller symptoms start about 2 weeks early, and the last few days before I start, I get VERY irritable , achy, crampy and HUNGRY. Right now I feel a little bloated, grouchy and tender "nips".

So would this be considered a "regular" period cycle? is 46-48 days too far apart to be regular? What are my chances of getting prego in the future?

I've booked an appt with a Gyno in August but I would like to know, incase anyone here has experienced it.

I would definatly say that it is irregular. 28-32 days is the "norm" or at least from what I have been told. I know before my issues started gettting severe I always ran in that area.

Why is your appointment not until August?

I live in Canada, getting professional medical help soon is next to impossible. I kind of wish I could just go to America, then i'd be able to see one sooner

Some women just have longer cycles. In the past my cycles have ranged anywhere from 26-43 days. During that time though, I was very stressed out (due to being in nursing school...it does that to you!).

Are you stressed out? Lost or gained weight? Those factors can have an impact on your cycle, it has happened to me. Are you sexually active?

True many people say that 28-32ish days is the "norm", but not everything is to a book. Everyone's body is different. Since your cycles are 46-48days apart, that seems to be the "norm" for you. How long does your period last and how's the flow when it does come? If its an adequate flow and length of time, then it is probably the norm for you.

I would definately suggest going to the doctor though, just to get it checked out since it is concerning you. I am hoping that this can give you a little peace of mind though.

If you would like to talk, let me know!
