Possible uterine polyp!! I'm freaking out

Ok I'm 28. Always had spotting in between periods. Last few months I have been getting like a light period in between my periods. my gynecologist thinks its ovulation bleeding because it happens between day 10-17. Anyways he sent me for transvaginal ultrasound, that came back with possible 1.4(14mm) polyp and to do Saline ultrasound. So had it all booked for October 13. I did the first part which is a repeat ultrasound on October 11. The day before saline ultrasound I freaked out and cancelled it, my husband was pretty mad because he took time off work. I don't blame him.

I went back to my gynecologist told him I couldn't do Saline ultrasound. He said okay so I have a choice.. it's only possible 1cm polyp(second ultrasound suggests it too) , I could leave it or get it removed. I asked what he thinks I should do for sure, he said he doesn't know its up in the air (guess since I didn't do saline ultrasound). He then said if I choose to hysteroscopy I need to go to another specialist anyways cause he can't do it. He recommended I go back to my family doctor to get re-referred to get second opinion and book hysteroscopy if I choose too do it. I went home and thought about it and decided to just go ahead and do the Saline ultrasound. Called Thornhill diagnostic imaging and made sure I could rebook the saline ultrasound and i could, so that was good.

Anyone out there have two abnormal ultrasounds and did saline ultrasound and came back normal? I'm so scared having panic attacks because I don't want surgery.

My Saline ultrasound is booked for this Friday November 9th. I really hope it comes back normal and it's almost painless. I'm so scared. Thank God my husband is coming with me to hold my hand even though I cancelled the first time. He said if I cancel this time then he not going when I book it again. I'm definitely not cancelling again, I need this done.

Practice breathing deeply and focus on something else during the procedure. Don't hesitate to ask for something to help with nerves. Doctors typically don't have a problem with giving something to calm and keep you comfortable.
