Okay so to start with, I haven't had my period since February (this isn't the first time I have had "issues", I have only had 4 periods for the last year). All my labs have come back normal that my PCP ran and I am not pregnant. So naturally my PCP sent me to a fertility specialist to find out why I am not having a period/ ovulating. Well, although I am ready4mommyhood... my husband is not so sure if he is ready4daddyhood so instead of putting me on Clomid like most people would be the specialist put me on YAZ and told me that if I got my period I was ovulating. I thought YAZ, as with other BCpills, inhibited ovulation. Has anyone heard of this before or have any advice? I feel like he just looked me over and sent me on my way without getting to the root of the problem. Although my husband isn't 100% about being a dad, if there is something wrong that will make our chances of getting pregnant less and less, we would like to start trying now. I told him this and his response was... "no really, do you guys want a kid right now or not?" I was shocked!

I'd be interested to hear if you find anything out on this! I am in the same position, however, I am not on BC and have had unprotected sex for the past 2 years and.. nothing.. i am going to see my ob/gyn next month. Also.. not wanting to have kids right this moment, but I know something is wrong if it hasn't happened yet and I want to make sure I have a chance, if ever!. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Comment
