  • Yeast infection or normal discharge?

For the past few months, I’ve been having creamy white discharge. It would stop during my period, then restart after a week or so. I thought it was normal. But then, my vagina entrance started to get itchy and irritated. The discharge my vagina produced was still white and creamy, but clumpy. So I thought, yeast infection! Got some Canesten, came with vaginal pill and some soothing external cream, used that for 3 days as written on the box. I used the last pill last night, but I’m still getting white creamy discharge, but no small curds. I did the smell test and it had a faint weird smell. Is my infection still going or is it a normal thing?

Last time I’ve been sexually active was 2 weeks ago. My period is supposed to start in a few days but it’s irregular.

Should I continue the Canesten treatment?

Thanks for helping a girl out!

To me it sounds like you have the classic symptoms of a yeast infection but I am not a medical professional so don't consider that a medical diagnosis. A visit to your doctor or gynecologist may be your best next step.

    • the distinction between a yeast infection and typical vaginal discharge. However, it's crucial to see a doctor for a correct diagnosis and treatment if you think you have a yeast infection or are exhibiting uncommon symptoms.
