I’ve been on birth control a few years but last month messed with my pill cycle to go on vacation. Ended up having a crazy week long heavy period. Never had that happen before. Woke up one night soaked in blood.

Was trying to be consistent this month to avoid that but a week before end of pills was having spotting and bad cramps. The cramps have been for 5 days so far so I just stopped the pill 2 days before end of pack. Woke up again last night soaked in blood and with a large blood clot.

Wanted to check if anyone has experienced this ? I also had bleeding the last time I had sex but that was a few months back. Not sure if this is due to my change in pill or something else. I have definitely messed with the pills in the past and haven’t had this issue.

That actually sounds worrisome. I suggest a trip to urgentcare, or at least calling a nurse to get advice based on what you’ve said here. I once had a similar experience in college and it turned out I was miscarrying. You’ll def want to know if that’s the case.

That's a real stressor! I had a similar experience when I adjusted my pill regimen, and it fully threw my cycle off with heavy bleeding and the formation of clots. This is likely from the alteration, but you may want to ask your doctor just to be on the safe side!
