    erectile dysfunction

ok, i'm curious about a few things. i'm with this guy that can barely get it hard enough to 'get it in'. its like half flaccid. he does orgasm..so thats not an issue. i have not brought my concerns to him yet cuz i want some extra knowledge first. my questions are... does anyone else have this problem? if so, what did you do about it? i've read about some herbal stuff, does anyone have first hand knowledge of it working?
i'm not worried about talking to him cuz we are pretty good w/communicating. i would just like to have some suggestions when i talk with him. any input is welcome!

is this a new man in your life? if so he may feel pressured to perform well and therefore the limp noodle..take the initiative with him..be aggressive..seduce him..most men love it when a female acts like she wants to eat him up..(it's an ego thing, no doubt)..i see u r a nurse, so u obviously know some pills can make erections more difficult..if attacking him fails to raise the flag, talk to him about it..good luck

Yes, i have this problem. Well, I'm the flacid one. A real bummer, you cannot imagine how it makes a guy feel. Pills like Viagra and Cialis help. The herbal stuff is all junk, don't waste your money. And don't try the "genaric viagra" some people on this forum talk about. there is no such thing.

You must commincate with him. Try to determine the cause. If he gets erections during the night, then the problem is "mental." If he does not, then the problem is "mechanical." You can go to YOUR doctor and ask for a prescription of Viagra - this is very common, the woman askes for the meds becuase the guy is too embarassed to do it.

      Good luck.

Erectile Dysfunction, like polio, smallpox and leprosy is easily treated by pharmaceutical medicine. Holistic/herbal/new age medicine does not cure ED anymore than it can cure polio/smallpox/leprosy.

There are roughly three reasons why ED occurs:

        1. Brain-chemistry altering medications. Basically any anti-depressant, anti-anxiety, and a great many pills designed for high blood pressure and high cholesterol can kill an erection.

        2. Loss of testosterone. is your man over 40? Has he gained weight rapidly? Is he growing a nice pair of man-boobs? These are signs of a hormone problem.

        3. Physical "damage". This covers everything from high cholesterol, arterial plaque, damage to the tissue of the penis, etc. Consult your friendly neighborhood urologist for more details.

Sinister done a fine job of covering all bases. that's basically it.

Mine was the high blood pressure meds altho I've taken care of those issues now, don't have near the problem, it just takes a little more effort. Won't go into what I've done but you can read my post. Of course here latley I've not had any opportunities Serperation/divorce

thanks for all your imput. he is 30, not on meds that i know of. i think it is just the mental part of getting to know someone. i'm sure it will pass. good to know that the herbal stuff doesnt work...saves me some money! I figured i'd give it a few more weeks, if things dont improve then i will talk to him.
            Thanks again.

Don't take this personally. Its almost for sure a physical problem of some kind. I know that I felt unwanted, unloved. The guy who I used to be able to get erect with a smile of a peek at my nylons or lingerie was just not reacting (I thought)

He might be horrified that he is having problems. My DH was. And SCARED!? The doctor was the last person that he wanted to talk to.

The first step is to tell him that you care. Want a sex life with him. And want him to get help and also that your worried because ED is never ever a normal part of aging. If he has it find the reason and get him treated!

              Good luck!

BTW there is a Yahoogroup called Support ED Partners thats very good for women in this kind of thing.
