I've had good experience with the stuff.

But it raises the question, how often are you supposed to change your baby's oil?

      X3 Every 3 months or 3,000 diapers!
      (serious face now)
Don't use oil-based lubricants with latex condoms. It causes their breakdown. I've never used it, but if you find it works for you, go for it

Baby oil has a mineral oil base.

Which means you can not use it with latex condoms.

I personally think the smell of baby oil is the least erotic thing I could imagine.

oh no...please dont do use baby oil as lubricant..its fine if you want to use it as massage oil, but its not water based so it can cause really bad yeast infections if it is in your vagina... if you want a lubricant make sure it is water based (and i agree with the poster above me, baby oil makes me think of babies...not sex lol)

In theory, theres nothing wrong with baby oil. It is actually one of the old fashioned lubes, but there are better choices now on the market. Many women claim infections from using oil based products, since they do not break down as quickly in the body as water based and silicone based lubes, and also can contain perfumes.

Not only can it damage condoms, but also diaphragms and some sex toys that use latex in their composition.

I gave my wife a massage w/ massage oil (about the consistency of baby oil) and we got caught up in the moment and got it in her. A couple of days later she had an infection and went to her gyn. Her gyn was very angry w/ me for not being more careful. "Never let your husband in there with oil ever again! Bad man, very bad man!"

Stick w/ water based lubs or silicone. There are some really slippery ones out there that either don't have an odor or have a nice odor. Some don't taste bad, but I've never found one that tasted good.

                  Skipper,

Did you use a product that said "External Use Only" on the packaging?

Something that's just called "massage oil" could be anything. You need to know your ingredients. Take at least as much care as you would about what you eat.

I have had allergic reactions to baby oil. Not as a lubricant but, my ex use to run me baths all the time and he would put baby oil in the water. Even showering after the bath I still had a reaction to it. I wouldn't chance using it. Then again, it might just be me.
