Constipation and masterbation
I have been having this problem for about 5 years now. Every time that I masterbate I become constipated after, and its not just for a day but for 3-4 months! Its like after masterbating my intestines and bowel are affected. I also feel like I have to pee more often than usual. I went to a specialist but he said that he didnt know what it was? Does anyone know what is wrong with me? This is ruining my life! -
I can not personally see a connection there...
Constipation can be that you have IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, it can be that your diet is wrong, but a cause and effect due to masturbation?
I think your tying the two together but it's not the answer.
How often do you masturbate, guessing your around 17, 18 and are you talking Clitoral only?
What other symptoms do you have or is that it?

Chandlers Wish,
Actually im almost 21, but yeah just clitoral stimulation.
I do have IBS according to my doctor, however, this is different. After I masterbate and become messed up I dont do it again because im afraid that the same thing will happen and after a few months I start to feel better (I go to the bathroom regularly etc) but then I masterbate again and it starts the whole process over agian. My symptoms are that I can only go to the bathroom every few days, and when I do I feel really sick. I also have more of an urge to pee than usual. Im not sure if it is necessarily constipation but more that it affects how my intestines function, maybe they are stuck in a contracted position? Ive heard that masterbation can cause you to use your urinal muscles? but I dont understand why the effects last so long?Comment

If this isn't a mistaken association -you would be constipated anyway - it sounds like a real high stress response. There is no way physically that masterbating can make you constipated. But if you are stressing big time, you could do it. Just how guilty do you feel over this? You do it a couple times a year?
Increase your consumption of fresh fruits and veggies, start some regular exersize, drink lots of water, cut back on red meats and dairy and see what happens?Comment

All this would be is exactly what WC says. It is stress. Anatomically speaking there is no way it will create constipation. However the association of masturbating then becoming constipated can easily be triggered if you condition yourself enough times....just like sitting in a bed can unintentionally trigger the yawns and make you want to sleep. General constipation is due to foods you eat but it is not that difficult to change eating habits. Literally cutting back on certain foods for a single week you will be able to determine what your body may or may not like. I know some children that get very very constipated when they drink milk, so I have advised mothers to just try out soy milk and it works wonders for them (as well as prune juice to flush themselves out). Just try out some stuff before you go to a doctor, they will tell you the exact same thing that people here will say. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment

Thanks for answering the question.
It sounds to me that your bowels are full, leaning on you and therefore, creating the feeling of wanting to pee more.
I think the key is to concentrate on getting regular, softly, daily.
IBS can go either way, I have it and fortunately, it's only "stress" to the highest level that brings it on and then it stays for 1 month.
I think your suffering from IBS in a big way and may also stress thinking about being constipated after you masterbate, bringing on the IBS stronger.
Some people "run" to the loo that way, other's bind up and can't go.. It's a viscous little thing, but as WC stated, it's about food in-take, I'm convinced of that having had it for 12 years after having a severe fall.
Lots of greens, very small amounts of meat if you do, lots of water, walk 10 minutes a day to un-stress even if you don't feel stressed and get your body working for you.

Oh, to add... Alot of IBS sufferers are Lactose intollerant, ItsASecret mentioned babies and milk, she's correct there.
Here in Australia, you can purchase lactose free milk, avoid dairy as much as you can, or spicy foods. That's the only thing the Doctors can work out thus far that helps trigger IBS...
