Husband has ED (erectile dysfunction) - looking for answers

I am trying to persuade hubbie that it's no big deal, losing his erection, but he won't have it. (Even though I am pretty upset myself.) I did some research and showed him this, which I guess was a mistake in retrospect, as it tries to talk away the problem.

Does any know a better site which I can show him to persuade him he is still a man while we get the Viagra sorted out?

I hear Extasy and Cocaine are good for inducing erections!

How old is your husband? Does he have a lot of stress in his life? Was there recently a traumatic event in his life? Is he overweight? What's his diet like? Does he exercise?

There are a lot of causes for ED. Sometimes physical. Sometimes psychological. Sometimes idiopathic (no known cause). The best thing to do is to have him go to a urologist and get this problem sorted out.

Hate to be so blunt, but....

If he really loves you, and I assume he does, he should be willing to see a urologist (at least). Does he get upset when you go to your OB/Gyn?

I know, it's the "male pride" thing isn't it?

Does he know any of the facts about ED? Perhaps he feels "alone" or ashamed? Give him some facts from any of the ED sites. Numbers may sway him or help hil to change his mind.

ED is very common, like 1 in 3 men experience it, at some point in their lifetime. Sales of ED drugs continue to increase due in part to the tough economic conditions that so many of us are facing.

STRESS plays a HUGE roll in ED.

Once he talks to somebody about it, he (and you) will be happy that he did!

my hubby has ED sporadically, due to a major car accident that left him with a broken back, sometimes things will be going along just fine and then uhmmm nothing. the best thing to do is not make a big deal of it. when it happens just continue caressing him, whispering in his ear or whatever so he knows it's him that you are interested in. I usually start giving hubby an all over body massage and whatever nerve kicked out will kick back in LOL. He definitely needs to go to the doctor if this is becoming a normal occurence tho because a health sex life is too good a thing to just let fall by the wayside

Is your hubby a heavy drinker? On antidepressents? Financially burdened? Facing stress in the work place or at home? All of those things can play a factor in ED.

If he doesn't want to see a doctor specifically for his erection problems, persuade him to see his regular doctor for a complete physical. If blood flow is having trouble making its way to the penis, it might be having trouble elewhere as well.. heart/blood pressure issues... prostate issues... testicular cancer... diabetes.. who knows, but you love your man make sure he's healthy!!
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

How long has this been going on. If only for a short time, DON'T WORRY! Stressing about it will just make it worse. Find other ways to have fun in bed.

If it has gone on for a long time then medical advice might be reasonable.

My partner and I just went through this. He's quite a bit older, and he too was embarrassed / uncomfortable about going to the doctor. I convinced him to do it (very gently- usually these problems are psychological, and you won't want to pressure them or seem put out by the situation) and the results have been great! We're just using samples (Levitra, I think) but I'm happy . Sex to orgasm twice today, after months of ED.

how sad for your hubby but all you can do is show him you are there for him thru this and it doesn't change how you feel about him or your sex life.

you want him to healthy and happy maybe that will help get him to a DR.

Viagra doesn't make a man have an erection it only helps to maintain the erection once it's erect!
