I know the feeling although my husband is not a smoker and in pretty good shape. He is just plum lazy. You would think that all the things we do for them to keep them happy in bed would "pay off". Don't get me wrong - I love, love, love making my husband feel #1 in the bedroom but it is frustrating that we are not being satisfied also.

          GOOD LUCK!!!!!

stressed you have nothing to feel bad about at all if this is how you feel. If you love him very deeply find a way to express this in a loving manner. Sounds like you are teetering on deep anger on this issue.

I don't mean this as a bad thing but he sounds catholic

explain to him you want to keep growning and expanding your boundaries together not push him out of his comfort zone but he does need a nudge. Comfort zones are hard people feel anxiety when being pushed to much to fast. Telling him you are bored in a good gentle way.

Wildchild you make an excellent point......... why do men get so upset and turtle away... why don't they open up more? why can some not trust us on an emotional level? Why do some always treat it as a game to the death?

I think men are more sexually vulnerable than they usually admit. We women are conditioned to put much of our self esteem in our looks and ability to attract a man, men put much of theirs in their actual or perceived sexual performance. A man who feels he isn't up to par can react in a variety of ways - mostly negative. Our society often places a stigma on man with ED or other sexual performance challenges, that may be changing with a more sexually open, aging population but we have a long way to go in this area.

I agree. And yet you hear numerous men complain about their partners not being good enough in bed. Women just have to be good at everything but all men have to do is bring money home and they're done. Anything else they are bad at is forgiven. Speaking about 21st century.

If he can masturbate, if he can have sex to completion in certain positions -- I doubt its a physical form of ED and more of a mental one.

Mental one is the hardest to overcome and the easiest to overcome. Hard because talking about it, will create anxiety and may make the problem even worse. But easiest because if he doesn't think he has a problem anymore , the problem will go away.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
