Smoking is a big factor in the dysfunction. The smoke and toxins constrict blood vessels, since there are so many in the penis (of course there are, how else do they get that big) then it would only be natural that it would be a problem. My husband and I have a couple of friends that smoked and had trouble with sex. They both decided to quit smoking and once they did, the dysfunction problem got better. My husband used to weigh close to 300 lbs. It was really difficult to get him involved in our sex life. We did a lot of research since he also had some other health issues that were starting to take over his daily life. With the right diet, exercise and weight loss his confidence and self-esteem increased and his interest in our sex life become more focused and something that he decided he needed...that was when he started wanting to experiment a little. The breathing difficulties will get better if his endurance increases. That comes with some weight loss and just good old fashioned exercise. For a while, I was where you are. What's the use, we both know that I'm going to be frustrated, disappointed and unsatisfied. I didn't even want to get involved with that. So I stopped asking, stopped initiating and started letting him make the first move. It was definitely not easy to do that but it did work.Comment
