    nipple problems, guy advice?

I am a 20 year old female and I remember when going through puberty, I got "bumps" on my nipples which I think is a normal thing. I didnt know it was normal so I thought they were zits and started squeezing them. Ever since then they have gotten worse. They never go away. I've been to many doctors, used many medications, and the same zits now are always there, always in the same place. I've gone years without touching them but they still fill up with pus, literally pus. It seems disgusting to me and I am always embarassed to take my shirt off in front of my man, he's mentioned it a few times and I know how noticable they are. I've showed my mother and she gasps every time I show her. It's nothing I've ever seen before and I was just wondering, since I am likely to have these the rest of my life, is there:

    1. Anything I can do about it(plastic surgery?)
    and
    2. As a male, what would you think if your girl had this problem? Would you be grossed out?

    Thanks

Have you been to a dermatologist? What kind of doctors did you see?

I dont know that I'd be "grossed out" but I would be concerned... I agree with WC, I would see a dermatologist, there has to be a solution....

No, I wouldn't be grossed-out, but I'd be concerned for you. There must be a solution.
But in the meantime, relax; that's only a part of you, it's not "you."

        A really important part, though...

Yes, I have been to 2 regular doctors, 2 obgyns, and 2 dermatologists.

There are a large number of posts on this board about conditions people are hoping to find more information about and maybe, someone who's experienced the same thing. I myself had pain from a car accident in my left shoulder and saw 2 general practitioners and 2 specialists, had xrays and mri and they still couldn't figure out why I couldn't raise my left arm. One wanted to do an "exploratory" to see if they could find something and the others just said they couldn't explain it and that either it would go away or I'd have to live with it. (the solution turned out to be acupuncture...2 treatments and the pain's not come back in 9 years...so much for "western" medicine)

Black-roses: there must be some kind of explanation for what you have (otherwise you'd be written up as an anomaly and they be chomping to get to explore your condition). Perhaps you could get a referral to an endocrinologist as it could be hormonal. It's a bit perplexing why the others couldn't find anything unless it was more complicated that they wanted to deal with. I'm not a huge fan of doctors or hospital as I've had several friends in residency who were often chewed out for not "having enough surgeries scheduled to keep the operating rooms filled." (their direct wording from the hospital administrator). There has to be an explanation somewhere though.

First you need a diagnosis. Finding a specialist for cysts or nipple discharge may require some Googling, but clearly your current crop of doctors are not working-out for you.

Pus and cysts do fall into the "gross" catergory, I'm sorry. But I'm a leg & butt man, so whatever is going-on with your nipples isn't likely to squash my libido.
