Totally agree with you. There are so many positions that it is most definitly hard to just stick to the odd few. well for me it is anyway. Like HD says, ive come to notice through expereinces that guys do tend to waver on asking for positions that are the traditional 'porno styles' or random styles that are seen on pornos - not from their own imagination.
