Ultimately she needs to decide for herself of course...

Too late for that - she already has!
lol
But she told me just a little while ago she has decided, and 'D' it is. She wasn't really doing this surgery for the augmentation, but for the lift. Size was secondary, and I think she wears a D-cup already.
Thanks for your insights, though; you've made me see there's a lot more to breast size than just breast size. I am coming to think this friend of mine may have some insecurities of which I was not aware; knowing that, I may be able to avoid giving offence.
Or so one might think...Comment

What looks best for her in her opinion is all that matters.
Other than a health issue (cancer/reconstruction)) or MAYBE when older a "lift" if mine move to much, I wouldn't want to be bigger or smaller. Men love all kinds, and building boobs for getting men is a waste. Some men hate big boobs.
I'm 5' 7" 40D, and what I have is proportioned for my build. I think, to a small degree, waist size makes you look bigger or smaller also and a way to change how you "view" to a small degree. If I had a bigger waist (mine varies between 27 and 28) my upper half wouldn't look as "much."Comment

OK, time for the final update: she had the "lift" surgery (not quite two weeks ago - Dec 23rd), with implants to get back to her "original" size (of some years ago...) and she is once again a 36 D, which sounds large, as discussed previously, but as it happens looks just fine on her - very fine, in fact...
She had minimal complications, is healing nicely, and the surgery was done so that she didn't (my fear) lose any sensation in the nipples.
In fact, she claims they are if anything, more sensitive than before.
So... (and this is getting to be a habit for me) I had to tell her I was wrrrr... I was wrrrrrrr... I may have made a mistake in suggesting the smaller size 'C' !

I'm glad she went that route. I've always been of the mind that if they do not fit your frame they are too big. I have big hands and am very creative, but a DD's on someone 5'10" with a curvy build will look far more appropriate on someone very petit, to me it almost looks silly.
It really does depend on the woman though, measurements unfortunately rarely tell the whole story. The was a very petite asian woman that used to come into the store I worked at for my first job, one time she came in with what looked to be a small D, and it looked so out of place. Unfortunately for her, it seemed to inspire more jeers than cheers, at least from my coworkers.
A real man will love what you got, end of story. If something like that is to be done, do it only for yourself, that's they way I look at it.Comment
