my boyfriend wants to try anal sex, and I'm a little scared. He's never done it before and neither have I. It's something i would like to try but I'm just not sure how. Does anyone have some tips for what I should do, what he should do, or what we should both do to make this a good experience for us both?

For me, just a quick thumbnail sketch re anal
1) LOVE it... lots of girls do. Most don't go around advertising it, but it's great once you get the knack.
2) SLOW.... don't rush, don't let your guy rush
3) RELAX .... goes along with slow,, take your time, do it only when YOU feel in the mood (sometimes it's just not the right time for you - listen to your body)
4) LUBE... lots an lots, no such thing as too much. apply and re apply, Water based lubes or silicone lubes work great. Astroglide, KY regular etc etc
5) STIMULATE ... yourself or let him do it but keep some stimultion of your clit goin the entire time. Helps to Relax and let things open up.

All brilliant advice and I'd add try either girl on top or missionary. Girl on top you're in control of the depth of penetration and the speed. Missionary is just less aggressive and not so easy for him to go too hard.

i am someone that is very open about there sex life and i am quite happy to say i love anal sex with my CURRENT partner. all the other people i have tried it with i hated it, but it think that goes down to trust and being relaxed in my current relationship so that is something i belive you have to have
i have read alot of ther older threads about anal sex and there are a few bits of advice missing that i would give to someone.
yes as we all know LUBE! i love to use cherry lube by durex becuase u get a lovely smell and taste. and it stays nice and slidy. but still gives you a little bit of friction.

on a more position based note. everyone in this forum keeps saying girls get on top, it gives you more control but on the contrary i disagree. if your in a trusting relationship this shouldnt be a problem and the best ways ive found for anal sex is the spooning position. by this is mean the man holds your shape from behind. you can always change position once you get going but this one is forcing the man to go pritty slow. you can push against him when u want to. and also pull away if you feel you need to. it also gives a great feeling of closeness that i find and from talking to a lot of poeple you often lose with anal sex.
but yeah practise makes perfect and trying it by yourself is probebly the best way to start as you get use to the sensations which are very odd and then of course enjoy the experience a of alot more.

Re 'girl on top' as well as the control issue, I find the angle is just better than the guy being behind. Same goes for using missionary for anal.

All the above info is excellent - I'd just don't forge ahead without talking a lot about it and how you're going to approach it.
