Maybe you're just getting older and you may have more on your plate and less time/energy for sex. I know I'm not all that into it when I'm busy or stress or just have a lot going on in my life.

I used to have sex every day when I was 19-20, but I can't say I enjoyed it every time. I got sick a few times by having too much. Now at 25 I'd be happy with once every 3 days but I don't get even that anyway.

Life is funny at times. I don't think it's as much of an age issue though. It comes and goes I suppose.

Are you still daily masturbating along with the three to four times per week sex? If so... you might want to ease up on that and you'll see your interest in sex with a partner increase.

Not all guys and in fact not a lot of guys can masturbate every day and provide a powerful erection that same day for sex with a partner. You got to pick the kind of sex that matters to you most and focus on that for a while.

For sure it's an age thing. In my teens I masturbated 2-3 times per day; of course that was the majority of my sex. But often, even after that I would go out with my girlfriend and she would jack me off again - no problem. Later at about age 21, she would give me a blowjob, then we would have sex and I would come again. By age 25, once a day was usually enough but if needed, I could come back for a second. By 40, 3-4 times per week. At 59, I only want sex with my wife about 1 time a week, but I masturbate 3-4 times on top of that. I think the sex wanes because of schedules and having to 'try' with each other more than when it was spontaneous combustion.

Judging by the number of men who masturbate multiple times a week and have sex only once per week, I must say that most men seem more concerned about their own satisfaction than mutual satisfaction.

Not saying this to be rude, but I've read so many posts of men masturbating daily and having sex rarely that it disappoints me.

And don't tell me masturbation doesn't affect sex life, please.

I'm told it's "stress relief". Yeah well, lack of sex and affection sure stresses most women out so I don't see any relief there.

I think it's about control. They have the toy. They can play with it when they want and unless you find masterbation preferable or equal to loving sex, you are just SOL. Ha Ha, too bad for you.

Really there is a good dose of that in a lot of this behavior.
For all the years of talk about frigid women, a woman who doesn't enjoy sex can still fake it, but if its a man who doesn't want it - nothing is happening.

IF women step up and start actualizing their sexual potential and ignore all the denigating social/religious BS that lables them negatively for being sexual, we will quickly find out which is the more sexual and sexually stronger gender. This is why emotional connection is so important, it elevates sex beyond the physical and can create a much more deeply satisfying experience for both. But only if both can move past the BS and not many seem to be able to do it.

Men generally are at their sexual peak in their mid-20's. If you are shaking hands with the preacher frequently and attempting intercourse a couple of times a week, that may explain your lack of libido. But if you can only get off twice a week with no masturbation, that sounds a bit low for your age to me. See a doctor and have them run a blood screen for testosterone. More and more young men are afflicted with this problem now than ever before. The good news is that it is treatable.

That does seem to be true doesn't it? I wonder if its just the results of "Generation internet PORN".

That may well be a contributing factor! There are a couple of trends that have been noted recently and some are geographically specific. One is lower testosterone counts in both males & female and the other is lower male birth rates. These abnomalies have been attibuted to numerous possibilities such as chemicals leaching from plastics, antibiotic use in food animals, high fat diets, and pesticide contamination in ground water and food sources. I'm not aware of any conclusive study that links these problems definitively to a specific cause. One Men's Health article did find evidence of an old chemical plant leaching pesticide into the ground water for a specific Indian tribe in Canada. That was touted as the source of the low male-to-female birth ratio. And of course it is well known that being overweight and/or hardening of the arteries contributes to ED. (Which affects the majority of Americans.) But I won't rule out the Internet Porn syndrom either!
