    Curious

All right ladies. Kick me off of here if you want. I was just wanting to get some info on how you feel about certain things.

-First off I get this feeling from some of my female friends that they are turned off by muscular men. Is that true? I like to work out, and I do strive to take care of myself. I'm not looking to be a Mens Health cover model, but I do want to feel confident about taking my shirt off at the lake. Whats a good general feeling on this by women?

    -Chest hair. Yay or Nay?

-What do you find attractive in a male?

-Whats your take on sex toys and porn?

I would love to see your responses.

Men are more than welcome here, we actually have quite a few male regulars.

Obviously, all women want different things. If we were all attracted to the same aspects in a man, life would be boring and probably result in a lot of cat fights.

You friends may find muscular men attractive. Is that true for all women? No. Confidence far beats muscularity in my opinion. If you are confident in your skin, confident with who you are, well, then, who wouldn't find that attractive?

    To answer your specific questions...

Chest hair? I don't want a carpet, but also would be pretty turned off my someone who waxed their chest. A little here and there is fine with me.

Attractiveness? Personality, confidence (not to be mistaken with cockiness), someone who can challenge me, have an intelligent conversation, etc. Obviously someone who takes care of themselves and has a good head on their shoulders. I'm a sucker for eyes though.

    Toys? Yep

    Porn? Nah

Maybe it's the guy in me talking, but that would NOT be boring

And to the OP. So far, I havent been kicked. In fact, I stole two arcade high scores right out from some women's noses, and they still havent banned me

Different girls like different aspects. I know my girlfriend likes eyes and hair.

And I'm not saying it isn't nice to have somebody want your body, but personally I would want a girl to fall in love with me because I'm a charming, intelligent character. Not because I have rippling muscles and perky nipples.

If you really want a girl to be attracted to you, you have to go out with her and find out what she likes, and change your body accordingly (as long as you are comfortable with it). While it is common for alot of women to fall for the same movie star, it usually has to do with status (not calling them shallow, it's natural instinct for them to desire somebody with prominence). You think every single women thinks Brad Pitt is hot? Probably. But it's because he's a movie star (not calling him ugly).

Take an average joe who doesnt look dirty or ugly, and give him a gigantic paycheck and some important job, and women will be more attracted to them (not shallowness, just natural instinct).

This doesnt apply to all women, but do you really think EVERY woman who was a fan of Johnny Damon when he was with the red sox did so because he was pure sexiness? (They could barely see his face!) No, they also associated him standing out from the crowd and being a famous baseball player. Women dont fall in love with a guy because of status (usually), but it definitely widens the playing field for any guy with a good job and a confident attitude.

        Welcome!

Chest hair~ I can take it or leave it. My dh has six. (yep, six) But I wouldn't love him any less if he had a ton. I prefer a smooth chest, but one of my best friends LOVES hairy chests on men.

I think it's safe to say most women prefer a man's body that is kept reasonably fit. I don't care for pot bellies and flab.

I was attracted to my husband by his looks, on the physical side, and his morals, sense of humor and caring on the emotional.

Porn? Fine, dh and I watch it sometimes. Sex toys? Also fine; can be lots of fun.

It should be pointed out that any woman worth a salt who loves you for YOU is not going to obsess about the things you mention. People are package deals... if you care for someone you either accept the whole package or you don't.

I think there are women who are turned off by the "body builder" types. It just looks over exaggerated, and definitely not snuggable. I personally like a guy who is fit, nice pecs, nice abs, nice arms. YUM! I prefer no chest hair. I don't like hairy guys, it creeps me out. Sorry. I have always like porn, I watch it alone and with my husband but we do have to mute it cause the women drive us crazy with their over zealous orgasm's. Sex toys can also be great, also all the creams, lubes etc they have out are good.
Each woman finds something different attractive in a man, and we may be attracted to several different types of men. There isn't just one cookie cutter mold for each woman. A great sense of humor catches me first though, if you can make me laugh and laugh at my smart comments we are good to go. I guess it depends on if your talking about physical attractiveness or emotional/mental attractiveness....

I agree with the other ladies, attraction is a matter of more than one aspect.
Over muscled men look awkward and insecure. I avoid them. However being in shape is another thing altogether and is a definite turn on.

I have a preference for the less hairy body but I have been intensely attracted for some time now to a man who has quite a pelt. That's become a null issue.

My attitude toward porn is changing. I used to be pretty neutral about it but am now learning toward feeling more negative about it. It has negatively impacted my sex life and interaction with the man I love.

Not into toys, I want a more total sensory experience with the man of my choice not some object.

PS: I completely fail to see what all the fuss over Brad Pitt is. Doesn't do a thing for me.

I KNOW!!! I just totally do not see it. I look at him and just shake my head most of the time, what is so attractive about him?

Ok fine how about George Clooney instead of Brad Pitt? Or Matt Damon. Who the (edit) cares, you get my point

                  Neither... Actors are overrated, blah.

But, just saying that not all women think Brad Pitt is 'hot'. Your words, not mine.

pftttt... And Johnny Damon was WAY hotter when he was with Boston, not so much now.

Not into Brad Pitt either, I'm way more into the Ben Barnes type. <3 Ohhhh be still my beating heart...

Anyway... not to hijack the thread...

                    - I'm definitely turned off by muscular men. First of all I want to be with an equal, and having someone be so much stronger than me in such an obvious way would make me feel like a storybook helpless maiden. And secondly I just really don't care about muscles and would be easily annoyed by any potential bragging from his end.

                    - If I imagine my most perfect man, he would not have any chest hair. Having said that, I've never actually been with a man who was hairless there, and have never looked at my partners wishing that they had less hair. When you're into someone, you learn to be attracted to every part of that person whether or not they fit into your original ideal.

                    - Voice. Nature. I like really nice guys who can also be confident. I'm very turned off by loud, overpowering types of personalities.

                    - Don't appreciate porn, love sex toys.

For whatever that's worth. I've discussed similar questions with my girlfriends and we practically ALL had different answers.
