    I keep drying up!

I have been having trouble remaining wet during sex. It's not that I'm not excited - because I do enjoy sex and get very excited. What could be causing this and what can I possibly do about it? Because my boyfriend and I are very frustrated!

    I have a similar problem...
I think that in my case it is caused by somehting psychological. It may be a response to something he does, or something he doesn't do. Next time you have sex try to remember what happened before. However, its no use to start having sex with a fixation on the problem. NOT thinking about it will likely also help.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the air hitting it, because it happens when he pushes the covers away, and that's what is drying it out. But is this normal, I mean, if I am excited enough, this shouldn't happen right?

Some women just don't get real wet no matter how turned on. Keep a bottle of lube by the bed, should take care of that problem. Get some flavored lube, make it fun. I get extremely wet, major squirter and we still keep it handy.

KY also make these capsule things. Supposedly you can insert one and it assists with lubrication for up to 4 days or something like that. You may want to look into that.

Have you ever mentioned it to your Dr during your exams? They may want to check your hormone levels.

Thank you - I'll be mentioning this to my GP when I go next!

And just another thing as well - my boyfriend tends to get very offended if I go dry - and I don't think it would matter him if I used lube or KY tablets, I still don't think he would be happy with this - the point would be, to him, that I would need something to assist me to stay wet. What should I do?

That's weird. I don't think he should get offended. I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of turn on or anything. You can't help it.

For me, its different every time. Sometimes I get really wet and other times its only for a few minutes and then its hard for me to go back. Not sure why it happens that way.

BH: leaving the covers on keeps the humidity up, so I understand what you are saying. But your boyfriend getting upset about you drying out is crazy. Does he think you can get wet on demand? Was that from experience with a lot of girlfriends? He has to work at it if he wants you wet enough, and possibly use lube. Later in life, you still may not get wet enough, even with a lot of stimulation. What will he do then, become celibate?
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
