    First time fingering?

    Hi guys,
I'm new here.. so I could be doing this completely wrong- just don't get too angry about it, ahaha :]
I'm sixteen years old and my boyfriend and I are both virgins.
My boyfriend wants to finger me, which I'm totally okay with. It's just, whenever he shoves even just one finger in.. it hurts so much.
Today, he was in the middle of going down on me and he put his finger inside me and it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. I was in pain after for a couple minutes and it hurt to walk for a little. It's still sore now.
    What happened? Is this normal?
Thanks for the help guys :]

I would be careful about this. Pain is not a good thing. Make sure it feels good to do it to yourself before you let him. There is something wrong here.

When your boyfriend fingers you - how does he do it? does he put in quickly? roughly? gently? etc...?
Have you ever masturbated yourself using your fingers? strange question to ask i know - but if you do, does it hurt when you do it to yourself, or only when your boyfriend does it?

could be that you broke your hymen.
that's the part that generally hurts the first time you have sex.

does it feel different than it did before he fingered you?
if it does then thats whats happened.

he needs to go SLOWLY and you need to make him realise just how slowly.

don't panic and think there is something wrong with you!!
for some girls, entering the vagina with anything, whether it be a finger, tampon, penis can be extremely painful!
it is usually because you are tensing up, were you relaxed when he tried to finger you?
were you aroused enough? you must make sure you were, as arousal causes the vagina to widen, which will make fingering a much easier and more enjoyable process.
i suggest you try and use some lube, which will help glide the finger in. try and be as relaxed as you can! and enjoy yourself! haha

Going to agree with what everyone else said...maybe you just need to relax more and/or maybe he needs to go slower. If you don't use tampons, it might just be that you are still very tight and/or you broke your hymen.

It may take time, but maybe he should try to go slower and/or get some lubricant maybe to help out?

yep, elephantcandy has got this right, as well as the others. Anyway, why insert when he can play around with the outside of your vulva for hours and give you satisfaction. Maybe try this for a half hour or so until you are fully relaxed and aroused before he tries to insert anything. If it still happens go to see the doctor as it may need an examination.

Putting a dry or almost dry finger in a woman will probably cause her pain, unless she is lubricated enough. Do you get wet when he does foreplay? If you do, I suspect don't get wet enough. A dry finger will suck up moisture from the surrounding area, causing an internal dry spot that will be painful because the flesh in there will stick together. He should use lubricant, use saliva or get you wet enough through foreplay before putting a finger in you.

Don't use water as a lubricant--you will chafe, and that won't be pretty. If you are aroused enough, your own vaginal secretions should be enough. Like previous people have said, he need to go slowwwwwwww.
