Chisaki, a position to try is a variant of doggy style, but with you laying face down on the bed (you can turn your head). Done on the side this would be a variant of spooning. The key is not to bend at the butt because doing that will allow him to penetrate deeper. Keep your back and legs in a straight line. A couple inches of his length will be taken up by your butt and thighs squeezed together. It will still be great for him and not as much work as cowgirl.
