Firstly, make sure you "want" to try this not that you will be doing this because your boyfriend has asked you too. First time, it does hurt, yes you need lube and it depends on the trust, how long you have been with your boyfriend, as to condoms, do you use them for normal sex? Do you trust him?

Sure there are many a thread on this and please do a thread search to gain more ideas but it also may be a good idea if your willing to let us know if you feel comfortable with this or not...

Can I make a practical suggestion? You might want to try simpler stimulation first before progressing to full anal sex. Maybe a finger inserted during oral sex just before you orgasm? That can give you a clue whether you are going to find anal stimulation of any kind enjoyable. If so, perhaps try two fingers, etc. Go slow. It can be painful. Make sure he knows how you're feeling. For example, his instinct upon entering you will be to go at it fast and hard, and that's the last thing you're going to want. It can be kind of interesting fighting the urge to thrust hard but forcing yourself to restrain for your partner's sake. As others have said, lube is critical. And above all, if it is too uncomfortable or unappealing to you tell him. Yes lube lube, there needs to be anal play involved first, he needs to use his fingers to get you used to the feeling of something being in there, yes it will hurt some when he's entering you, this might sound gross but while he's going in you need to be pushing out like your trying to take a poop, that will open you up for him and make it easier for you to accept him inside there..
