Also, by the way, my host for tonight was a guy and his girlfriend. I really hate that when a guy's girlfriend is super nice to me. It makes me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. I don't like looking at another guy's girlfriend too much because I think that would upset him. Plus the guy's girlfriend was rather good looking so it was really hard to not look her way. I think I did a good job in pretending to be normal.

To be honest, bob... I mean its good that you were able to keep your composure and not stare at the girlfriend... but it sounds like this couch surfing thing is SO much about whether or not you are attracted to a woman in the house that hosts you... when it should be just about a place to stay. Its human to notice that someone is attractive... but I think somewhere along the lines... your have a blurred outlook on what it is you are wanting from this couch surfing. You say time and again that you are not doing it for a hook up, but if something happens it happens... but then go on to talk about the excitement of staying in a womans house and wondering whether or not she'll touch you... and I just think it may not be an ideal situation for you or the woman hosting you.

If you are looking forward to making out with a woman... why not start dating?

hopeless dork, i just mentioned the being nervous about looking at a guy's girl because this is a woman's forum and that action fits the subject matter. second, as for why not start dating: i've been looking for a good date for four years, haven't found anything yet.
