I saw a clitoral erection on a girlfriend before, where she was very excited, but had had no physical stimulation. Because her clitoris was light colored and her clitoral hood and labia were dark colored, I noticed it from several feet away. Is it common for women to get such a clitoral erection under such conditions? How many have seen it? Would men notice this more than women?

Clitoral erection without physical stimulation
Men, especially when they are teenagers and in their 20s can get an erection without any physical stimulation (such as rubbing, oral or intercourse), only presumably mental stimulation.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

Yes it happens, it can happen from being aroused when ya get horny..
i don't understand your question about wheather men would notice it more than women ?? Certainly the woman would know it happened.. -
A woman would know she sexually excited and if she wanted to, could use a hand to tell if she is aroused to that point. On the other hand, many women, especially young women, may not know what changes their body goes through when they are sexually excited. Many men don't know, either. That is why there are so many questions on this forum where it seems obvious that the person asking doesn't know about the sexual organs or their functions. Many men and women from more conservative cultures may not know altogether. Sexual arousal without physical stimulation doesn't always cause the clitoris to become erect enough to stick out from under it's hood. I would say generally it does not.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

When im aroused enough mine can peak out without any physical stimulation and i can feel that it's stiff, but all women aren't the same..Comment

It happens and it's something that can be felt. It can happen by flirting/fantasizing/sexual thoughts/sexual discussions/porn/other.
It can also be observed (but, of course, all women are different and of all sizes down there -just like men-).
It also causes discomfort if it remains like this for too long without having an orgasm.Comment

Pretty much exactly the same thing with me. Once it gets past the point of no return, I'll do anything to get a quick orgasm out, lol.Yup it happens to me... it will peek out from under the hood when I'm aroused, and when I get really excited I can feel it throbbing and engorged without it even being touched. At this point I have to get a release, just like with men when they get a throbbing erection.Comment
