I think it depends on how well you know and trust someone. If you've known the person for a while and you decide to go on a date, having sex on the first date wouldn't be anything unusual. On the other hand, if your first date is also really the first time that you talk much with them, you might want to wait a few dates. I couldn't see myself sleeping with someone on the second or third date in that case, and maybe not even on the fourth. But everyone is different.Comment

That's a good point. It does depend on how well you know them before the dates. In my case, I've never had sex with anybody that I hadn't known for a long long time, however, in hardly any of the cases were we properly dating. It was more of me needing to scratch an itch with someone I knew and was comfortable with.Comment

I don't keep count either... but then again I've only slept with 2 people. For my first guy, I was dating him for 2 months before I had sex with him. Then the next guy (my former FWB), I slept with him on the 5th date, which was when we had agreed on our "arrangement". For the future, I certainly wouldn't have a set time frame, I would just follow my heart and mind on what felt right. And, as Tex said, it would also depend on how well I knew and trusted him beforehand... I couldn't imagine jumping into bed with someone that I hardly knew.Comment
