Not comfortable discussing sex life with friends?

I'm just wondering if I'm a little weird for not wanting/feeling the need to discuss my sex life or my boyfriends 'assests' with my female friends, when they gossip about their boyfriends?

Anyone else feel the same way?

I got my hymen broken lately and I have shared a little bit of the experiences with some of my closest friends. But no where I have sincere and honest friends than on this forum. I do not know you are a guy or girl, you have really explored the site where you get accompanied by the people whose ideas can help you a lot

Some people are really private and do not want to discuss such things with friends, so no, you are not weird. On the other hand discussing things with a trusted confidant can help you understand some things you have questions about. You can have different confidants for different subjects.

This forum provides a place to ask questions anonymously and get anonymous answers from others. Then you can decide what advice to follow or not.

A lot of time the questions are of the form of "is this normal". This forum is great for those type of questions due to the diversity of the posters.

For me it depends on the content I am sharing. I don't mind talking about minor details but I don't come all out with it. Theirs nothing wrong with a little modesty. If you don't like discussing it, then don't. That perfectly ok. Your not strange.

I wouldn't say your wierd at all, it's called being smart! I don't know your age but younger girls tend to gossip and unless you want the whole world to know then your being smart! I just joined this site but I would say your most trustworthy friends are the ones you dont know because we can never tell. Got questions or concerns ask on here

I personally found more solace in confiding in with my male best friend. There is something to be said about the male perspective when confiding in sexual escapades.

You share what you are comfortable sharing, no need to feel weird about it. That's just you, and it's perfectly okay. Although it can be nice to have someone to share such personal things with, it's not a necessity so whatever floats your boat.

To me, it's like people that talk like they have money....they usually do not. I tend to think the same of women who talk about their man's "assets"...they probably don't have what their woman says they have.

If you feel the need to "brag", IMO, you are lacking something....

Naw but nothing weird about it, I mean sometimes its good to get opinions on certain things but like someone said...you got all types of forums and internet to ask.

It's sort of strange, but I don't mind talking about things online that I would absolutely die if I had to have a discussion face to face. I have a few people I regularly discuss stuff with via e-mail, special mailing lists and such as well though. My husband is great too. I can talk to him about anything.
