Painful sex and missed periods...please help!

Hey i'd really appreciate any help anyone has as i'm really worried

My period was due on 12th of December and it still hasn't come yet. The last time I had sex before then was well before October and I got my period in November. I've taken 3 pregnancy tests and they were all negative and my cycle is never regular (i.e it often skips a month). I was a little stressed around the time it was due because of exams and I was taking anti inflammatorys for a swollen knee which made me really ill and I couldn't eat for a week due to vomiting. I've had a little spotting and have had period-like cramps twice.

I've also been experiencing quite painful sex for about 9 months now. I thought at first it was just condoms because i'm sensitive to latex but it started hurting without condoms too. I don't want to be crude but the only way to describe it is that it's like the penis is hitting something swollen at the top of my vagina it hurts to the point where I have to stop and it stings for a while after and sometimes causes painful urination. I presumed it was some kind of infection but there's no funny discharge or anything like that.

I've been to the doctor but she couldn't shed any light on it and said to wait it out. To be honest I don't think she was really listening to me anyway.
I would be so grateful if anyone has had any experience like this or could just reassure me a little??? Thanks

I think a wise decision would be seeking the opinion of another Dr. or go back to your Dr and tell them you can't wait it out, it is worrisome and uncomfortable.

If you are in pain or if you are feeling as if something is swollen, the Dr needs to give you a bit more advice, then "wait it out".

Have you had an ultrasound of the area? Exam? Pap?

Is he hitting your cervix? I suggest going to a specialized gyno if your doctor isn't listening (don't know if your doc is just a general PCP).

It could be anything from your body not being relaxed or aroused enough, being stressed, etc.
