    Pregnancy scare

So my girlfriend and I's sex life has been very good lately.

We started pentration with no condom, and 15 minutes in or so I put a condom on. After another 10 minutes (guesstimating here) in I came and pulled out shortly after. I hate sounding so methodical about sex. We kissed and cuddled for a bit and then I remembered i still had the condom on so pulled it off. As I was doing so I noticed sperm at the base of my shaft below the bottom of the condom.

The logical explanation is that it leaked after sex when I lost wood. But we can't help but worrying. can anybody shed any light?

Oh and I'm going to Australia for a month in 4 days, and you have to wait a week before you can test as far as I know. Such bad timing.

If she is not on any birth control then have her take a test if her period does not come this month. Yes things can leak out after using a condom, yes it is possible to become pregnant while still using a condom as protection, and yes it is still possible to become pregnant if she is on the pill and you used a condom. If she is on the pill and taking it exactly as directed without missing or skipping any pills then the effectiveness of the pill is going to be at about 98-99%. Missing any days, skipping any days, taking the pills late are all going to affect the effectiveness of the pill.

That sounds like the least of your worries. Condoms are only 99% effective if used correctly. The directions on the box tell you to put it on at the start of sex. You are constantly releasing semen even if you do not orgasm. 15 minutes or so after the start is PLENTY of time to get pregnant. If you were going to wear one anyway, why not wear it the whole time? Only when condoms are used as directed are they proven to work.

As for knowing, you'll probably just have to wait. If she is late or misses her period just get a test it's no biggie. Everyone has a scare every now and then.
