My wife refuses to wear them and I understand her point, why would I want her to be uncomfortable? On the other hand, I would and am willing to wear Whatever turns her on. But, I'm probably the exception to the rule when it comes to doing things for my wife.

I love to see my wife in thongs for about 3 seconds... tops! They are best worn around the ankles or on the floor, IMHO. Why anyone want to see another person in pain or uncomfortable is just ridiculous. I like what WC said and also CW's thoughts on this as well.

Thongs, if they are the right size, really shouldn't be THAT uncomfortable. Granted, they are not for everyone... but the torture devices you're describing are not the typical thong. I'm guessing he bought you an incorrect size in a material that is not very cozy. Why not pick some out yourself, IN YOUR SIZE... and if you are doing it 'for him'... why should you have to wear it all day as 'extended foreplay'... you can just put them on before your sex... if it turns him on so much and you really don't like them.
I really don't see the good in denying someone something so simple if it excites him, really I don't. Its not like he's asking if he could pee on your head or soemthing seriously degrading. He thinks you have a sexy bum, he thinks thongs are sexy and wants to see you in them.
Sure you can say no, you don't have to do ANYTHING you don't want.... but really, when it comes to a happy healthy sex life... pick your battles, and this , to me... doesn't seem like one worth waging a resentment war over... but you have to decide that for yourself.
Don't be afraid to also tell him what YOU want to do, what you want to see... and what you want to feel... it isn't all about him.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment

I can't stand the "butt floss" feeling either. The first time I tried to wear a thong (at my sisters insistence) my butt place got so sore I thought I was getting hemorrhoids. I also don't like the feeling of being half naked down there.I hate the butt floss stuff too. No way could I wear it outside the bedroom. But in the bedroom for a few hours, you bet. I have a whole bunch of different sexy "clothes" to wear that gives him a hard on every time. I have stuff for him to wear too, when I feel like it.
I always wear white cotton Jockey low-cut briefs. I have a drawer full of them, all exactly the same. They are recommended for diabetics like me because they let my lady parts breath. My husband has never complained about their appearance.sigpic

I used to hate wearing thongs but I got used to that free butt cheek feeling lol. I have a few pairs that barely cover anything with a very thin strip across my hips and a small triangle in the back like those swimsuit models wear on the beach lol. Literally nothing, like what is the point of even wearing it types, I hate them but my bf loves them so I will still wear them on rare occasions. My other thongs are not so thin though. They will have the thicker band around the hips and sit up a bit higher than the bikini barley there style. You can get the styles which are not the 'butt floss' and actually have like a 2 inch wide strip in the back...those are much comfier than the floss style. I buy everything from La Senza and Victoria's Secret, and I do have a lot of thongs, like 20 pairs. Most of them are cotton but still thong style, and I do have a few that are are a bit fancier with satin, bows, frillys, and strapped up ties in the back where the triangle should be. My favorite are still the boyshorts, very comfy and my bf says my butt looks really good in them because they cover just enough but still leave some cheek hanging out. Just keep looking around for a style you like most, if the floss is not your idea of comfort than try out the thongs that not only fit comfortably size wise but also are wide enough in the butt area so that you do not get the floss effect. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment

I prefer naked
But I also do have several g-strings yep us Aussies call them something different in my draw and when it's summer because winter I like to add a few pounds just because it's cold and I love my food, I do like to wear them with matching bras in the bedroom or the kitchen or the lounge room, in other words, they are sexy, I think men do love the look and if the right size they aren't that un-comfortable but wearing them to work? Nup, I'm for ever pulling the string over and it drives me nuts let alone shows that I am wearing g-strings if I get caught doing it..Not worth it..PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

I personally can't stand them. They seem to be very uncomfortable for women. A woman to me looks sexy either nude or with tight fitting panties that accentuate the flatness of the area and give you a glimpse of the slit. If you really want to wear one for your partner that's up to you, but don't do it if it really is uncomfortable.Comment

Thongs are hot! I'm one of those that appreciates the look on my SO butt only IF they are comfortable for her to wear.
Why don't you take him shopping with you? VS or where ever...Then he can learn your size, the way you like them to fit, etc.
There is also an online retailer that makes very comfortable, according to the five females in my life, thongs too. It's called Hanky Panky.
They're a bit pricey compared to your local discounter but who isn't willing to pay for comfort. Besides, if he wants you to wear them, then he ought to be willing to pay for them.Comment

I LOVE thongs... Like IAS, I wasn't always a fan, but a definite fan of the "free butt cheek" feeling now.
Just to clarify, as it seems the two are being lumped together here, there IS a definite difference between a thong and a g-string. A g-string is literally just a string that goes between your cheeks, a thong has some definite material there. I cannot stand wearing g-strings and highly prefer thongs. I have a drawer full of panties and more often then not, I grab my thongs, anything else is reserved for the days that I'm running low and need to do laundry.
One thing that you may like that is a comfortable style in between a thong and a bikini is a Cheeky. They are REALLY cute and like I said, an in between of the two styles. They show some cute butt, while not showing all the butt. Go to the Victoria's Secret website, go to "Panties", then check out the "Cheekies" you might like.
With that said, if you don't like them, easy enough, don't wear them. I wear them because I genuinely like them, don't even feel them, now that I'm used to them, etc. I wouldn't be wearing them if they were too small, lol, because they do have to fit just right to be comfortable.Comment
