Had First One Night Stand this Weekend

Hello all. First time post. I am 22 and bluntly just had my first night stand on Saturday night. All yesterday and now this morning I have been wrestling with it in my head. I am almost kicking myself because I never thought I would be one to do it and yet I let the alcohol get the best of me.

Perhaps even more so, he was only my second. I was with my previous BF for 5 years. I made him wait 3 years and now 2 weeks after a breakup here I am. Just so odd to know someone else was 'in' me.

I have to say on the converse, I was kind of exciting.

And protection was used for the intercourse.

Ok so you used protection, it was kind of exciting, did you enjoy it?
Not all sex is a fabulously emotionally connected experience, not even when you are in love.
So long as you act safely and aren't breaking any relationship agreements, there should be no cause for worry.

Did you say what you said in an effort to vent it or relieve yourself from guilt? Frankly, I don't think what you chose to do was "bad" (far be it from me to judge you). I do believe that protecting yourself from exposure to who knows what was a good idea.

Limited sexual contact with a person can be very exciting...

If you both enjoyed yourselves and too precautions, then great - no harm done. I see no reason two adults shouldn't enjoy this. If you didn't enjoy it, then put it down to experience and don't do it again.

FWIW, I have absolutely no negative feelings about people who have one night stands as long as both understand the situation and no one is being deceived in any way.

Don't beat yourself up about it. It's a learning experience! When my ex and I broke up, I slept with someone only 3 weeks later...yes I felt guilty, but heck! I was a single woman who had lots to learn! It was exciting and thrilling! It was my first one night stand too...and I don't regret it! Enjoy your freedom!

Girls, thanks for the words. I am feeling a little better as the day goes on and I continue to get further from it. You are right I am a single lady now and so perhaps time to enjoy it. Was just such a shock and had me completely offguard, I just wasn't ready mentally or didn't know how to react to it.

Each and every one of you is making me feel better. Thanks so much, appreciate it. It is barely a thought in my head anymore. Just be interesting how I react when a similar situation arises next time!
