It depends on what you mean by virginity ...
Some women have a tangible "virginity," which is their hymen. In some women, it's very small or goes away by itself. Believe me, you would know if you lost that "virginity."
In western culture, you are considered a virgin if you have had vaginal sex. Do you feel like a virgin? What are your reasons for wanting to stay a virgin?
I believe I was a virgin until the day I received full vaginal penetration. Some people wouldn't agree with that, but it's a good starting point to determine where you feel you are.

I agree with this, I see loosing virginity as full vaginal penetration. Many womens hymen in western society have broken before they have vaginal penetration though. In some cultures, girls after the age of about 10 are discouraged from running and playing sport because this can break the hymen. Some women however have a small amount of blood when they have vaginal sex for the first time, but if you had already been fingered this would be unlikely.

P.s good to see you don't want to rush things, once you loose your virginity it's gone! Give it to someone who you truely love and care for!

A virgin is defined as someone who has not had sexual intercourse. That means you are technically a virgin until you have full, penetrative, vaginal sex. Don't worry; you will not lose (and will not have lost) your virginity by being fingered, therefore you are still entitled to call yourself a virgin.

thanks alot for spending some time with me.as an answer to little,i would say that i feel like a virgin because i havent had virginal sex n the reason i want to stay as a virgin is because if my mother caught me after that she will go made and things might get really worse.and plx tell me how to prove my bf that im a virgin without having sex because eventhough we are trutly in love with each other,i think im yet not ready for it.my bf thinks dat if i dnt bleed at the time i have virginal sex with him then i was not a virgin..so will it really bleed if im a virgin..n yeah,i dont play any sports n running.so plx tell me wat are the ways i cud prove him

Your boyfriend doesn't sound very experienced either because he is, in fact wrong: You don't have to bleed your first time in order to be a virgin. That is actually a myth. The reasons for this are:

            * A woman's hymen (the membrane partially covering the vaginal entrance) often tears as a result of every-day movement and friction. It can be sports, it can be sitting a certain way (like on a bicycle) or it can simply be from going about your every-day general business. A broken hymen resulting from anything except sexual intercourse doe not indicate a loss of virginity.

            * Even if a woman's hymen is intact at the point she loses her virginity, it does not always bleed when it tears. With some women (relatively speaking) there is a lot of blood, with others there is only a drop of blood and with others still, the hymen tears with no discernible trace of blood at all.

            * You mentioned in another thread that your boyfriend has already attempted to insert his penis in to your vagina and failed to go beyond the entrance because your pain was too severe. Even if your hymen was intact on that occasion, it is possible that because he was able to insert by an inch that your hymen is either partially or fully torn as a result of his endeavours.

In short, the presence of an unbroken hymen does indeed mean a woman is a virgin, but a broken hymen certainly does not mean that she is not. As a matter of fact, I did not have an intact hymen when I lost my virginity because it had torn at some point during my teens. I did ballet and horse-riding, either of which may well have broken it. I am not even aware of exactly when it happened as there was no blood in my case, but I most definitely remained a virgin until I had sexual intercourse for the first time.

If your boyfriend argues with you and continues to insist that he is correct, take him to a doctor with you and a print-out of what I have typed here. The doctor will verify everything I have conveyed, as they are facts. I'm glad you are waiting until you are ready because it sounds like neither of you are just yet. It's really positive that you are making efforts to educate yourself on sex, but if I were you, I would insist that your boyfriend also educates himself, because his knowledge appears to be distinctly lacking. He must not be content with myths, but instead seek good, solid facts; it would be the mature thing to do.
