    Trouble Getting Wet

Well, the title of this thread pretty much explains for itself.
I honestly don't know why I have such a hard time simply getting wet. It's definitely not that I'm not attracted to my man, because believe me I am. And it's not that I'm not turned on either.... Maybe it's just all in my head?
My boyfriend and I have been together a little over two months now, and we only see each other on the weekends, so therefore, we have sex every weekend, even when I'm on my period (which was a new experience for the both of us, let me tell you).
The very first time we had sex, I was so wet it was embarrassing, but ever since then, I've been dry. I've heard that maybe drinking more water helps? Are there any other suggestions?
I'm not taking any medicines that could be the cause of it, either, btw.

Wow, this could have been me writing this. I have the EXACT same problem.
And drinking lots of water doesn't help. I drink at least 2 litres every day.
I feel like my boyf thinks i am not attacted to him.
No amount of foreplay makes me wet. It frustrates even me.
I have found lube a HUGE help.
Oddly tho, every now and then, If I give him oral sex, i do get wet. Not very often tho. Alternatively, get him to give you oral sex. At least that way his saliva has lubed you up ready for penetration.

I know i'm not much help lol, but I think I've just kind of learnt to deal with my dryness. I even develop dryness during sex - almost glad it don't last for too long!!

Kaylakay, what are you using for birth control? I ask because a lot of women don't consider the pill to be medicine, but it can definitely cause vaginal dryness.

I can't use birth control pills, because of a blood condition I have. I have a higher risk of getting blood clots than most people.
So right now, we're just using condoms. So, like I said, I'm not taking any medicines that could be causing it.
I'm starting to think maybe the sex isn't spontaneous enough? But surely that isn't it, because we practically just got together. Everything in the relationship is still new to us. I definitely shouldn't be having any trouble getting wet. I don't know what's wrong with me. I can want sex, and want it and want it, but when he's actually touching me, it's like... my insides have turned numb on me and don't feel like responding. I hate it, because it makes penetration difficult sometimes. Well, most of the time. And using lube is frustrating. I kind of hate it.

I can imagine that's frustrating. Do you feel very physically attracted to him?

How comfortable to do you feel about sex? Do you feel like you all rushed into sex and that maybe you weren't emotionally ready for it with him?

I wasn;t too keen on lube at first either, messy and totally unsexy - but somehow it became sexy and my boyf liked it which made me like using it.
I have come off the pill to see if it helped my dryness - it didn't.

I guess like BD said tho - how comfortable do you feel about sex?

I have always felt comfortable with it, confident too. Maybe that's why i was ok using lube and learned to 'put up' with my dryness so easily.

Maybe you should just try more non-sex, sexual things. Passionate kissing, for more than just a minute or two. Touching thru clothes (even dry humping!), teasing, sexy outfits, naughty texts..

              Hi
Lack of wetness is linked to low estrogen levels.
You can get a cream for this or increase the amount of phytoestrogens in your diet.

Or it could be your not sufficiently turned on. U say u want sex but do u enjoy penetration or are u just doing it for your partner? I get dry at the end of my period and just after it so it dissipates fast but if I'm turned on I'll get very wet. If a guy sucks at oral u won't get wet, if he doesn't know how to touch your lady parts in a fashion that gets u going-- u won't get wet. I get wet from giving oral most of the time and that makes for quick entry for us lol but even when i just think about stuff I like I get wet knickers. Try and think about stuff that turns you on when your with your partner, use your own hand. Don't always rely on them.
If I knew where I was going I would already be there
I wish I had more time. Judicious, beautiful, augmented, whatever.
I've always been afraid to die, but I think I'm more afraid to live. (BC, SP)

I feel the same way. I wasnt always that way, just after I had my children. My first child is 7 yrs, my second is 15 months. I thought that had something to do with it.

Seriously, it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the fact that I don't enjoy sex, that I'm not comfortable with him, or that I'm not comfortable doing it with him. I promise you, we have a good time lol. I just have trouble getting wet all the time. Maybe we just do it too much, I don't know I'm not sure. But I absolutely assure you, it doesn't have anything to do with me not being turned on, because my man knows how to make all the right moves.
