    Anal Sex and Cold

    Dear all,

I'm looking for some sound advise.

Whenever me and my g/f experiment with anal sex (we are still beginners with this variation) she says that she feels (at times) extremely cold. A few moments later (at least in what I perceive to be a few moments) she might say that she is feeling extremely hot.
The whole time her body is really hot, never cold.

So I was wondering what is going on. I tried Google but couldn't find any real helpful advise.

First of all, I fully believe her. If she wants to stop or take a break we do. We use lots of lube and foreplay is an utter must. We only do it, when we are both up for it.

Could be anything I guess. My body temperature fluctuates when I am aroused, even more so when I'm extremely aroused. Just sex in general will do this to me, not specifically anal, vaginal or oral, just all depends on my arousal.

Does this happen during other types of intimacy?

I wouldnt rule out she is in pain and just not telling you .Unlike the above poster LanaBear...I have never in my life(and Im 43 have been married 23 of it) been "cold' as a reaction to sex ..arousal or otherwise..always warm ..warmer and hot...The only time I've been cold..is when litterally the room temp at first "shocks me" when I go from dressed to undressed in the beginning..or if the ceiling fan is running ...or after sex if we lay there for 5 or so minutes when Im "coolign down" the room temp will get to me again...As far as anal sex..with LOTS of foreplay and lube..and an open mind all of it..its never been anything(no matter how slow eihter) but painful for me...I would keep trying "through the pain" until it became unbearable and I thought this is utterrly ridiculous..I dont remember beign 'cold' so much as in pain..which might have caused me to 'shiver"..similar to how you will "shiver and shake" when you smash your thumb in a car door or stub your toe real bad..and get a "hot flash" with it..

This phenomenon happens only during anal sex.

She says that she is in no pain at all which agrees with what I can tell.
The time after, she feels somewhat "strange" (according to herself) but utterly pain-free.

As I said, she only feels! extremely cold while being seriously hot (pun intended )

This is due to the Vagus Nerve. This is main sensory nerve that runs up the body form the anus. When you stimulate it it can give the perception of temperature change.
Divers know about it to avoid temperature shock when diving in cold water.
It also regulates the heart so be careful.
I think it is also the nerve that enables anal orgasm but it is a dangerous nerve to over stimulate.

The only damage a person could do is have a good knowledge of anatomy and some electrical probes to stimulate the vagus nerve in an uncomfortable way, that or an individual's SO is a surgeon and they go to town with VNS. But the average Joe cannot overstimulate the vagus nerve to dangerous levels because one cannot actually touch or feel the nerve. Holding your breath, coughing, sneezing, digesting, breathing and talking all require vagus nerve stimulation and a person partaking in anything of that nature will not harm them. However someone with advanced knowledge of anatomy, no medical equipment, and a quick arm could give the iconic "death chop" to the neck and knock a person out. If that is done in such a way you can kill a person, and those are the ones you need to look out for lol.

so it seems everything is fine as long as we both enjoy ourselves and our partner.

                Hi
                Google vaso-vagal syncope anal sex
Can also be caused by constipation.- And can be a life threatening issue with constipation.( But this takes days to occur).
Not life threatening but can cause loss of consciousness.

oxy-moron: Thank you too, that was good advise.
We, actually SHE never had any problems with loosing consciousness or feeling light headed.

The second hit on google was a amazon website for an anal sex toy. Truely, we live in stange times, where medical advise comes from customer reiviews on anal sex toys posted on the website of a multi-national company....
