^Co-sign. The reason why I posted this topic is because now that I've broken up with that person I fell in love with (it was worth the wait, even though it wasn't meant to be), casual sex urges are coming again. But, I want to remind myself WHY I made the choice I did. Having casual sex for me would be like an alcoholic saying "Just one more beer. It won't hurt."

I've noticed that those impulsive urges come on days when I don't feel good. When I feel positive and happy, I don't have those urges. Casual sex impulses are different than normal sexual urges that we all get.

I don't live with my roommate anymore, but I think her statements were a reflection of her views. Some women have a hard time believing that men do wait to have sex. After 7-12 dates with my most recent ex-boyfriend, she said "He must be really frustrated. Nobody waits that long, unless it's 1950." Honey, plenty of men will wait if they're nuts about you and you give them the opportunity. If he was frustrated, he could have walked out of the door and found someone else.. But, he didn't. I think giving him a chance to fall in love with me before having sex was a good thing.
