It could actually be the lube you are using too -- I ended up having an allergic reaction to it... that was no good. So we bought a different "all natural" brand (MUCH BETTER).

I think it just takes A LONG time to get used to it. Lots of patience.

If you go too fast, it will burn/hurt some. I would suggest you go buy some good anal lube. They even have some that has some desensitizing stuff in it to make it easier. We just use straight anal lube now though.

Kate, I'd also like to put out there that if you don't want to do this, then I wouldn't. It's great that you want to please your guy, but everyone has their limits. The first time we tried, it was because my husband wanted to. It hurt like h*ll, so we stopped. We didn't try again, nor do he mention it, until years later, and I brought it up that I wanted to try again. He was shocked and I told him that I did a lot of research on it. If you do go for it, please take your time, get really aroused, and you take the lead. Let him know this beforehand. When all this happened, for me, it was an amazing experience.

I would NOT recommend the anal lube the desensitizes. That can be dangerous, you need to be able to feel everything that is going on to be safe about it. When you are desensitized you lose the feeling and may not know when to stop because things have gone too far. Stick with normal lube, it will be for the best.

One thing, is you need to be in control of the penetration. Push out as if you are making a bowel movement. This opens the muscles up down there and makes it for more comfortable penetration. Take is slow and well lubed (non desensitizing lube). Work your way up, don't try to go all porn star when doing it because it won't end well.

Last thing, you have to be open, comfortable and relaxes about it. If you are not, you will be tense and it will be uncomfortable.
