    Anal sex?

Have questions about numbing lubes for anal sex?

    We have more answers!

Read our article, “How Do Numbing & Desensitizing Lubes Work? Are They Safe?” here:

My boyfriend and I have tried anal sex a few times, and he seems to love it because apparently it is so much tighter, but I struggle to enjoy it, as I find it quite painful. I still want to do it because it makes him happy. Any suggestions on how I can make it hurt less, perhaps enjoy it?

Try working your way up to it --- with toys. So LOTS of lube, and start with a small toy, then a little bigger, and then a little bigger -- so that it stretches out more comfortably.

I personally find it feels weird to me... it doesn't hurt, but its not something I'm dying to do.

Stimulate your clit while he's inside of you. You can do it yourself or have him do it. You can also use a vibe.

We do use a vibrator, I have a rabbit, so that helps. But I still find it 'burns' a little bit? I'm not sure how to explain it, I think it's just the muscles stretching or something. We use heaps of lube, and try to ease into it, maybe just take it slower? It also doesn't help that my boyfriend is in no way 'small' either...haha

KateA I have the same issue. My fiance and I tried it once and I ended up tearing a little bit.

            OUCH! I suppose I'm lucky I haven't torn!

But I have heard once you get over the initial uncomfort it is supposed to feel good?

It took my wife a while to get used to it. We started out using fingers and toys and worked out way up to me. Lots of lube and patience is the key.

We actually prefer anal sex sometimes over vaginal now. She has her most intense, deep, long lasting orgasms from anal sex when she is in the cowgirl position. Sometimes she will continue "shaking" long after we are done. We joke about "that quarter sure is lasting a long time...." when it happens.

It really takes a lot of prep time for a successful, pain free go of anal sex. I have to be highly aroused, with him fingering my anus(lots of lube) for a bit of time, making circular motions right at the sphincter. After some time doing that, I'm pretty much begging him to enter me. I enjoy doggy best for anal(never tried cowgirl actually), and hubby knows not to thrust into me. I push myself back onto him until he's all the way in, for a few seconds I just stay still to adjust to him. After I get used to thrusting and get into it, I turn control back over to my husband and he can go as fast and hard as he wants. There should be no pain, just pure pleasure!

Hmm. We haven't tried that, he pushed into me, not the other way around. Maybe this is something we need to try!

Kate, I would def. suggest you take the lead until you're comfortable otherwise. And if it hurts, you need more stimulation. I guess my point is, it shouldn't hurt. Take your time and don't feel disappointed if you can't get to the point of penetration with him. It took my hubby and I several times before I was comfortable enough to accept his penis. I would suggest, just getting accustomed to his fingers first. Good luck
