I've been reading and hearing that women enjoy thicker penises than long ones necessarily. Which is good for me, since I always thought I was thicker than longer. I'm only 5-5.25" in length...which probably puts me and the "smaller than average, but not tiny" category. Inexact measuring lead me to believe I was thicker than average to compensate for my shortcomings. Unfortunately, more exact measuring yielded a circumference at the top of the shaft of only 5" exactly. I had estimated I'd be at least 5.5". Now I know 5" in girth is right around average, but I had kinda been hoping to be a bit above average to make up for lack of length.

Will someone please tell me I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill?

You can do a search and this topic has been played absolutely to death. You will find women who have all sorts of different preferences. Just as I'm sure you have preferences of your own. With that said, YOU have what you have, it's not going to change......it's time to learn to be happy with what you've got and anyone who isn't, isn't good enough for you.

Porn is a horrible source of information. The basis of it in general is to create what is not present in reality, a fantasy, if it were like that in real life it would not have the immense draw to it. Porn lies, porn is fake, porn is edited, porn is not real. You are fine just the way you are, do not let anyone or any production creation tell you otherwise.

But seriously, it is how you use it and other parts of your body that satisfies a woman, not just the length or width.
It's the time you spend, the caresses you give, the shared kisses and the tenderness, that will keep her interested and coming back for more.

Instead of searching for porn and comparing your penis size to theirs, try searching for sites to teach you how to be romantic and an expert "Lover ", learn the erogenous parts of a woman's body, It's not all located in the pelvic area !!!

You definitely are making a mountain out of a mole mill... you're born with what you have, accept it, be happy with it and work with it. If you're not happy with yourself you can't expect anyone to be happy with you? Plus, it's a known fact that a lot of guys lie about their size, they have their ego to pet.

Obnoxious - if you are basing what you SHOULD have and SHOULD look like on porn, then you're setting yourself up for failure on purpose. I have NEVER seen porn in which the girl looked like I do. You see most often large breasts, small labia, tons of makeup, certain "universal" porn behaviors. If I was comparing myself to them, I'd NEVER be happy with what I have. However, I've never had any complaints. Have you? You're worrying WAY more about this than 99% of women you could be with would. And it will affect your performance in the sack....it will...when you're self conscious and inhibited. The best sex is not based on size, but on being with someone who is uninhibited, confident and fun.

Letting porn tell you what your body should look like and what your sex should be like ... is like letting rom-coms and princess movies tell you what your love life should be like. Porn is there to SELL you a fantasy (even if it's free porn!) It's there for exaggeration and entertainment. It's not a learning tool.
Also, less than 5% of men in studies have an 8" penis. While of course some of your friends could be so "gifted," it's statistically unlikely that all of them would be. Look at the wikipedia article "human penis size," especially the graphs. You fall FIRMLY in the average range, on both accounts. There is nothing to "make up for." You would have to chop off fully half of your erect penis to come close to a moniker of "tiny."
