Always a shame to read posts like this.

I will echo what other men have said here and say that I too am a man who loves giving a woman oral sex, and that certainly includes plenty of licking of the vagina /inner/outer labia, then of course including the clit. To be honest...it's a little hard to believe he's never heard of it, and for me, most of the scent and taste, that I enjoy a great deal, of course comes from that area as compared to simply the clit.

Easing into it is my suggestion. Like anything, he can just experiment with exposure to the area in increments, building his way up. Or just trying an overall approach per your direction, just of very short duration at first, to become accustomed to it, and so forth.

And hopefully, giving him feedback that it IS pleasurable, will encourage him to continue.

Your husband is SSSSSSSSOOOOO wrong! I use a LOT more than just the tip of my tongue, and on a lot more than just the tip of the clitoris, and *I* enjoy it immensely -partly because of the intimacy aspect of it, but mostly because it has the most amazing effects on my gf!
      It is SOOO much fun!

First question. Is your husband black?...LOL. Just a joke.

Ok. Real first question. Have you ever cheated or been with someone else? Sometimes men get the notion that if they eat then its similar to sucking another guys . Why? You know why. If he really loves you then he'll want to pleasure you. Its nothing like having you eaten so good that you actually squirt when you have an orgasm. Every woman should be able to experience this before they die. Try and try with you husband but if he won't do it then find someone who will.

Take a shower together and see if he will do it either in the shower or immediately after the shower. If that doesn't work then put something sweet on it and tell him to eat it. If that doesn't work then your gonna need to find an alternate solution.

This is a sensitive issue that the original poster has put forward for discussion and some ideas on how she can get her husband to get beyond his adversion to oral sex. I really don't think a bad joke about race should be put forward at any time, especially since you don't know her and her husband. Just my opinion though and I'm saying this with all good intent.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

I agree with claret, and in addition "find someone who will" should not be an option. This is about finding a way to make her husband at least try to give oral more, cheating on her husband is not a solution and should never be.

That is very interesting . it is something 98% of men enjoy , however having said that my best friend(another male) does NOT ever go down on a women, I've asked him why and he didn't respond very confidently but reading between the lines it sounded like he didn't know what to do...perhaps your husband has held off cause he doesn't know what else to do and feels embarrassed to really go at it? maybe try moving your hips around as he licks your clit so you control were his tongue goes?

Um, without going through the whole thread, I have only one question: What does it matter how other men go down on their women? This is about you and him and your sex life.

If your husband doesn't want to lick you the way you want, after 16 years of marriage he should at least have the balls to say so. His response sounds rather lame, if you ask me. Why doesn't he just admit that he doesn't want to do it? it's not everyone who likes oral sex.

He told me that he had never heard of a man actually licking and tasting a woman's vagina with his whole tongue. He said that it was different than me giving him a BJ ,since it a vagina has fluid and was a "hole." I was really shocked. He told me to buy a book to prove that other men actually do that and he would have to think about it. When I brought it up a few days later he said, "well, fine, let's just stop having sex, then!"

The op wanted to know if her husband was like most other guys. Most of the guys responding were not like her husband. They had no aversion to vaginas or fluids. The op now knows her request is not out of line, but having her husband understand that and be willing to compromise is another thing.

I find it interesting to see the difference in replies when a woman does not want to perform oral sex vs. when a man doesn't want to. The two are equivalent. Personally, I will try things I know my husband likes even if they don't hold a strong appeal for me, but I won't do things that are overly painful or degrading. He has done things that weren't necessarily his cup of tea but knew I would like it. But some people have different feelings about certain things, and that has to be respected.

At least you talk about it. My wife has never said as much but appears to dislike oral, something I'd love to do for her. She just closes her legs up when my mouth gets near there.

I'm trying to break the communication barrier.
