My first time wasn't very painful. The pain was so dull it didn't bother me.

Also not all women experience pain the first time.

My first time was painful....only because it was a terrible experience though. I lost my virginity almost 10 years ago and I still have pain afterwards sometimes. I don't know that there is really anything you can do to totally prevent it. Hopes are that it means a lot to you and feels so good that you don't notice it.
