Lately, when I have a really massive orgasm, my jaw hurts so much into my head that I actually have to put my hands up around my head to quell the pain. I take my pulse and while up it's not irregular. While my cholesterol is a little high my good cholesterol is very, very high and I was told by my doctor that I'm at a low risk for a heart attack. Since I'm so swept up in the moment I'm not aware if I'm clenching my teeth or not but could this be the reason for this horrible pain? My jaw is still hurting from last night. I'm a little embarrassed to go to my doctor or dentist about this problem. Anyone else ever experience this or have any idea what this could be?

When women go in to labor, they are told to take deep breaths in through their mouth. This is not only to relax them and keep them calm. But the muscle in our jaw, is some how linked to the muscle in the vagina. So breathing through your mouth during labor, helps relax the muscle in the vagina to help with giving birth.

When a woman orgasm's, the muscle in the vagina contracts, so this would be the only explanation I can think of.

I would suggest you see your doctor and don't be embarrassed, she/he won't judge you and may be able to give you some advice or help regarding it.

I think you have hit on the cause. Is there something you can bite on that won't transmit so much pressure to your teeth and jaw? Maybe a rolled up towel?
